The William King Museum of Art in Abingdon, VA is Virginia's only nationally accredited museum west of Roanoke. It leads the region as the premier visual arts facility. It was established in 1989 and housed in an historic 1913 school.
In addition to the three main galleries, two additional galleries include the Student Gallery, which displays works from area schools and colleges, and the Panoramic Gallery that features self-curated shows by local artists. These two galleries offer up to 24 exhibits per year, in addition to the nine main exhibits.
